Adin Ross Praises Kai Cenat for Streamer University Despite Past Tension

Despite rumors of a falling out, Adin Ross recently showed support for fellow streamer Kai Cenat and his massive Streamer University project, calling it a game-changing event for the streaming industry.

Adin Ross Shuts Down Beef Rumors With Praise for Kai Cenat

Adin Ross and Kai Cenat were once close collaborators, frequently appearing on each other’s streams and sharing content across platforms. However, that dynamic changed after Adin was banned from Twitch, sparking rumors of tension between the two.

Since his Twitch unban, Adin has denied any real drama but previously hinted at feeling snubbed, saying that many top streamers, including Kai, didn’t reach out to him when his suspension was lifted. He also called out the “ego” of some large creators—comments fans speculated were directed at Kai.

Now, Ross is making it clear that there’s no bad blood.

“Streamer University Was F**king Insane” — Adin Ross

During his May 28, 2025 stream on Kick, Adin broke his silence about Streamer University, Kai Cenat’s ambitious event that brought together over 120 creators and garnered over 27 million hours watched.

“I wasn’t streaming at that time, but if you guys just flat out didn’t f*ck with it or didn’t see it, you’re just hating,” Adin said.“What Kai did with Streamer University was f**king insane. He elevated and changed the game again.”

Ross doubled down on his praise, calling the project “amazing for streaming” and even applauded Kai’s recent moment with NBA superstar LeBron James, calling it “huge.”

Streamer University Becomes a Twitch Milestone

Streamer University wasn’t just hype—it delivered results. According to TwitchTracker:

  • Over 1,000 Twitch channels streamed content from the event

  • 719,000+ peak concurrent viewers tuned in on launch and closing days

  • More than 27 million total watch hours were recorded

  • Top streamers included:

    • DDG – 3.57 million unique viewers

    • Ray – 1.73 million viewers over 71 hours streamed

    • Kai Cenat – 1.5 million viewers in just 5.5 hours

    • Rakai – 1.46 million viewers, 45 hours streamed

    • Wendy Ortiz – 1.35 million viewers, 50 hours streamed

The closing night saw a surprise appearance by Drake, who praised Cenat’s vision, calling streaming an “ideal profession” and celebrated it as the next big shift in media.

Will There Be a Streamer University 2?

Despite the success, Cenat hinted that Streamer University may not return—at least not in the same form. He cited backlash over participant selections and the high cost of hosting the event. However, major platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video have reportedly expressed interest in buying the rights or collaborating.

Cenat remains firm that Streamer University should stay independent and live on Twitch, saying: “This is your idea. This is your guys’ stuff. Treat your platform as you would treat other platforms.”
