Apple Pay is now available on the PlayStation 5 console.
While Apple Pay has been available on the PlayStation App and web store for a while, this is the first time it’s made its way to the PS5 itself.
How to Use Apple Pay on PS5
Using Apple Pay on your PS5 is pretty simple:
Pick your game or add-on in the PlayStation Store
Add it to your cart
Hit the three dots next to "Confirm Purchase"
Choose “Change Payment Method”
Select Apple Pay from the list
Hit “Confirm Purchase”
You’ll then see a QR code pop up on your screen. Just scan it using your iPhone or other Apple device, and you’re good to go.
To use Apple Pay on your PS5, you’ll need a device running iOS 18, iPadOS 18, or newer.
Keep in mind that Apple Pay support isn’t available everywhere just yet. As with most payment options, availability depends on your region.
PS4 Support Is on the Way
Still gaming on a PS4? Apple Pay is coming to PS4, too. Sony hasn’t dropped an exact release date, but they’ve confirmed that support is on the roadmap for older consoles.
More Ways to Pay
Apple Pay joins a growing list of payment options on the PlayStation Store, including:
Credit and debit cards
PayPal
Cash App
Venmo
For those unfamiliar with Apple Pay, it allows users to securely store their credit and debit card information in the Wallet App on Apple devices, enabling quick and secure payments without exposing actual card details to merchants.
