Asmongold Joins Kick Without Exclusive Deal, Begins Multistreaming Across Platforms

Popular Twitch streamer Asmongold has officially joined the fast-growing streaming platform Kick—but in a twist that surprised many, he did it without locking in a big-money contract or exclusive deal.

Asmongold Partners with Kick — But Not the Usual Way

Kick announced on June 1, 2025, that Asmongold was coming aboard, sharing a simple post on X (formerly Twitter): “Welcome to the Kick family @Asmongold.” But unlike other major signings—like xQc’s eye-popping $100 million deal or Amouranth’s exclusive contract—Asmongold joined through the regular Kick Partner Program. No special perks, no exclusivity.

Kick co-founder Bijan Tehrani quickly explained the move, saying:

“Twitch spent years fighting to trap creators inside their walled garden. Tomorrow, Asmongold, the most watched streamer in the world, begins multistreaming to Kick. No special deal, just Kick Partner Program.”

Multistreaming Begins: Why Asmongold Made the Move

Asmongold confirmed he’ll start multistreaming on June 2, meaning fans will be able to catch his content on Twitch, Kick, and maybe more platforms down the line.

Speaking on the decision, Asmongold emphasized that multistreaming is the future of content creation: “Nothing changes for my Twitch viewers—this just adds more options.”

He also cited YouTube’s strict DMCA enforcement as the main reason he didn’t include YouTube in his streaming plans, calling the platform “too restrictive” for his style of content.

Earlier this week, he even mentioned wanting to [multi]stream on X (formerly Twitter), saying he had conversations with their exec team—and even Elon Musk. Elon later backed it up with a post that said, “let’s give it a shot.”

A Stand for Creative Freedom

While many creators have jumped ship for big checks or exclusivity, Asmongold made it clear: this move is all about freedom, not money. Back in 2023, he’d already hinted that he wasn’t ready to tie himself down to just one platform. His goal has always been staying independent and in control of his brand.

Thanks to Kick’s Partner Program, he’ll still take home 50% of total partner revenue—without giving up the ability to stream elsewhere. It’s a win-win that fits perfectly with Kick’s mission to break away from Twitch’s tighter rules and offer creators more flexibility.

Kick, which launched in late 2022, has been on a growth streak thanks to its looser content rules, more generous revenue splits, and a few high-profile signings.

Asmongold’s choice to multistream—without an exclusive deal—might just inspire other creators to try the same path, shaking things up in the streaming world even more.
