A new leak has given Battlefield 6 fans their first in-depth look at what to expect from the game's upcoming Battle Royale mode. Thanks to reliable Battlefield dataminer Temporyal, the entirety of the Battle Royale map has reportedly been revealed, including its official name: Lyndon Beach.

While EA has yet to confirm the existence of a standalone Battle Royale mode in Battlefield 6, the mode has been widely expected following the publisher’s decision to split it from the core multiplayer and campaign experience. According to Temporyal, the leaked map mockup features a combination of nine major Points of Interest (POIs) and 27 smaller ones, spread across what seems to be a vast and varied landscape.

Major Battlefield 6 Battle Royale POIs

Here are the 9 main POIs players can expect to drop into:

  • MARINA (northwest coastal area)

  • MAIN STREET NORTH (northwest urban area)

  • GOLF RESORT (north-central area)

  • FORT LYNDON (central area)

  • THE VALLEY (west-central area)

  • MAIN STREET SOUTH (southwest area)

  • LIGHTHOUSE (southwest coastal point)

  • SOUTH COAST (southern coastal area)

  • THE DOCKS (southeast coastal area)

These larger landmarks are expected to be hot zones for loot, squad fights, and strategic positioning—standard fare in most Battle Royale titles.

Additional 27 Smaller POIs Include:

  1. Angel Beach

  2. Chemical Storage

  3. Costa Del Sur

This rich layout suggests a wide range of tactical opportunities, from dense urban fights to sprawling open fields and possibly even underground battles.

Interestingly, Temporyal also mentioned faint traces of what could be a metro system embedded in the map—though it's unclear if it will be active in the final version. The map is currently referred to as "Battlefield Royale" internally, but that name may be subject to change prior to launch.

Battle Royale Mode Likely Coming in 2026

While the main Battlefield 6 game is expected to launch on October 10, 2025, reports suggest the Battle Royale mode will not be available at launch. Leaker and content creator RivaLxfactor recently posted on X (formerly Twitter) that the mode is not only planned as a free-to-play experience but also isn’t scheduled to release until months after the base game. According to him, timelines could still shift, but current expectations place the Battle Royale launch in early 2026.

This isn’t the first time Battlefield has tried to enter the Battle Royale space. The Firestorm mode in Battlefield V was a short-lived experiment that failed to gain traction despite the franchise’s massive brand power. If this new iteration is to succeed, it will need to offer something fresh, compelling, and technically stable—especially with competitors like Warzone, Apex Legends, and Fortnite dominating the market.

With the Battlefield 6 multiplayer reveal scheduled for July 31, it’s possible EA could tease the Battle Royale mode during the event, even if the actual release is still months away.
