Battlefield 6 is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious entries in the series yet—and now, thanks to new leaks from recent Battlefield Labs playtests, we’re getting a clearer picture of what kind of hardware PC players might need to handle the action.

EA is reportedly doubling down on PC optimization this time around, aiming for a more refined experience than Battlefield 2042, which had its fair share of performance issues at launch.

While the official system requirements haven't been published by EA yet, the leak—originally shared by HyperPC and sources like @BattlefieldInte on social media—outlines minimum, recommended, and even maximum (4K-level) hardware specs.

However, it's important to note that these are testing requirements for Battlefield Labs and may change before the game’s final release.

Battlefield 6 System Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10/11

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-8400

  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060

  • RAM: 16 GB

  • Storage: 30 GB

Recommended Requirements (For 1080p @ 60 FPS):

  • OS: Windows 10/11

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X

  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti

  • RAM: 16 GB

  • Storage: 30 GB

Expected Maximum Requirements (For 4K Ultra Settings):

  • OS: Windows 10/11

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D

  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080

  • RAM: 32 GB

  • Storage: 30 GB

According to @BattlefieldInte, the 30 GB size listed here only applies to the beta build. The final release could reportedly balloon past 100 GB, especially with support for high-resolution textures, expansive multiplayer maps, and potential content drops tied to the live service model EA seems to be pursuing.

These specs—particularly the GPU and CPU recommendations—point toward a more demanding experience than many previous entries. And when compared to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Battlefield 6 definitely raises the bar in terms of recommended hardware. For context, Black Ops 6 recommends an RTX 3060 or 1080 Ti for 1080p gameplay, with a file size of 128 GB on SSD at launch.

Here are Black Ops 6's PC requirements:

  • Minimum:

    • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1400 or Intel Core i5-6600

    • RAM: 8 GB

    • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 470, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960, or Intel Arc A580

  • Recommended:

    • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X or Intel Core i7-6700K

    • RAM: 12 GB

    • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6600XT or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti / RTX 3060

What Else We Know About Battlefield 6

Although the official launch date hasn’t been confirmed by EA, a report suggests that Battlefield 6 will be released on Friday, October 10, 2025. The game will reportedly offer two editions:

  • Standard Edition – likely the base game

Until EA releases the official requirements, it's best to treat these figures as early estimates. As we get closer to the August beta, we’ll likely see final specs released, giving players a chance to prep their systems accordingly.
