Krafton India has officially revealed the BGMI Esports 2026 roadmap, outlining a year-long competitive calendar that mixes flagship tournaments with third-party partner events.

The plan builds on the momentum of 2025’s big events like BMIC and BMSD, while also opening doors for community-driven competitions. For players and fans, this means a steady stream of action from grassroots qualifiers to international LAN finals.
BGMI Esports 2026 Tournaments & Timeline
January – BGIS 2026 (Battlegrounds Mobile India Series)
Open‑for‑all entry point for new teams.
Multi‑stage format: in‑game qualifiers → regional finals → national LAN.
Focus on discovering fresh talent.
April – Third‑Party “Open for All” Events
Partner slots for organizers like Nodwin Gaming, Skyesports, Loco, BattleX, etc.
Flexible formats, community tie‑ins, and broader participation.
May – BMPS 2026 (Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series)
Invite‑only for top teams from BGIS and prior qualifiers.
League + finals format, prize pool expected ₹2 crore+.
Benchmark event for India’s pro BGMI scene.
June–August – Third‑Party Events
Extended block for multiple community tournaments.
Includes online leagues, campus circuits, and invitational opens.
Aims to expand reach into Tier‑2 and Tier‑3 cities.
September – BMSD 2026 (Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown)
48 squads, national LAN with ₹1 crore prize pool.
High production value, PMGC slots on the line.
Mix of pro and qualifier teams.
October – BMIC 2026 (Battlegrounds Mobile India Championship)
International LAN event with India vs. Korea, Japan, and more.
18 matches across 3 days, 2 direct PMGC spots.
Builds on 2025’s Delhi edition, expected to scale up further.
Additionally, the company unveiled the KRAFTON India Awards, an annual event designed to honor the best players, creators, and teams in the Indian gaming community. The inaugural event is set to take place in Mumbai on January 9, 2026.

The year 2025 is/was a landmark for BGMI esports in India, with prize pools reaching international levels. KRAFTON India’s tournaments boasted a total prize pool of over ₹9 crore ($1.1 million) across just four events (excluding third-party tournaments).

BMPS 2025 (Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series): ₹4 crore
BMSD 2025 (Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown): ₹1 crore

The scale of these prize pools highlights KRAFTON India’s commitment to BGMI esports, raising expectations for the 2026 event. So far, the locations, exact dates, and format have yet to be revealed.
