KRAFTON India has officially launched the BGMI Player Transfer Window, a structured system designed to regulate how players move between esports clubs in the BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI) ecosystem.

This initiative sets "defined periods" during which roster changes can take place. This gives both players and organizations a clearer framework to operate within.
The first transfer window is already live, running from October 1 to November 15, 2025, while the next one is scheduled to open on April 1, 2026.
How the Transfer Window Works
If you’re part of a registered BGMI Club, your roster is managed by a verified Owner or In-Game Leader (IGL). They’re the ones who approve player transfers, while KRAFTON India oversees the entire process to ensure compliance and fair play.
Here are the key rules you need to know:
- Transfers can only happen during the official windows [the first window is October 1 to November 15, 2025].
- Free agents (players not tied to any club) can join at any time.
- Every transaction is logged, verified, and tracked by Krafton India for transparency.
Instead of sudden roster shuffles mid-tournament, players now have predictable timelines for when changes can occur.
Managing Rosters Through KIE Dashboard
For clubs, the process is straightforward. You log in with your registered credentials, head to the “My Teams” section, and from there you can invite or remove players, accept join requests, and then submit your roster for verification.
Once approved, your team becomes eligible to compete in both official and sanctioned third-party tournaments hosted on the KRAFTON India Esports platform.
Each club can register one active team of 4–5 players, ensuring balanced competition across the board.
Example:
Let’s take Team Soul, one of India’s most popular BGMI squads, as an example. Suppose Team Soul wants to sign a rising star from another club, say Orangutan. Under the new system, that move can only happen during the official transfer window dates announced by KRAFTON India.
The club’s verified Owner or In-Game Leader (IGL) would initiate the request through the KIE dashboard, and the transfer would then be logged, verified, and approved by KRAFTON to ensure compliance.
On the other hand, if Team Soul wanted to bring in a free agent — a player not currently tied to any club — they could do so at any time, even outside the window. This structure prevents sudden mid-season roster shakeups while still giving teams flexibility to scout and sign new talent responsibly.
Why This Matters for BGMI Esports
For years, esports in India has been growing rapidly, but one of the biggest challenges has been the lack of structured systems to manage player movement. With this transfer window, KRAFTON India is addressing that gap. According to industry observers, such frameworks are essential if Indian esports wants to align with global standards and attract long-term investment.
Speaking about the development, Karan Pathak, Associate Director – Esports at KRAFTON India, explained: “With the Player Transfer Window, we’re taking a significant step toward professionalizing esports operations in India. It gives players and Clubs a clear, transparent framework to manage rosters efficiently and responsibly, while laying the foundation for a more sustainable and globally aligned esports ecosystem.”
