After almost three decades, Nightdive Studios is giving Blood another major revival—this time with more polish, more features, and finally a console version so the rest of you can join the chaos.

Blood already received a remaster back in 2019 called Fresh Supply. It was well received—Very Positive on Steam (91%) based on over 7k user reviews—but also had its limitations. The biggest complaint? It was stuck on PC. Nightdive seems to have heard that loud and clear, and Blood: Refreshed Supply aims to be the definitive version the game always deserved.

The new remaster launches December 4 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, priced at $29.99. A Switch 2 edition is planned for 2026.

If you already own Fresh Supply on Steam or GOG, you’re not getting a free upgrade, but you will get a hefty discount—66.6% off, as per the reports by Nightdive. On December 4, 2025, Blood: Fresh Supply will be pulled from both stores and replaced with Blood: Refreshed Supply.

And no, this isn’t one of those minimal-touch “HD texture” upgrades. Here’s what Nightdive is packing in:

What’s New in Blood: Refreshed Supply

  • Modern Performance Upgrades: Up to 4K resolution and 120 FPS across PlayStation and Xbox platforms.

  • Fully Customizable Controls: Keyboard, mouse, and controller layouts designed for modern playstyles.

  • Expanded Modding Tools: Better support, plus compatibility with existing community mods—huge for longtime PC fans.

  • Multiplayer Enhancements: Local split-screen and cross-platform online modes with co-op, PvP Bloodbath, and 4v4 Capture the Flag.

  • Audio Options: Toggle between classic CD and MIDI tracks for the full retro vibe.

  • Complete Expansion Pack: Includes the original Plasma Pak and Cryptic Passage add-ons.

  • Brand-New Missions: The Marrow scenario launches day one, while Death Wish arrives free post-launch.

Nightdive also confirmed on its Deep Dive podcast that developers Dustin Twilley and Nick Palsmeier helped craft the new missions, expanding the original world without stripping away its gritty personality. According to their discussion, the goal was to modernize the experience while keeping the brutality and tone fans adore.

Of course, Caleb—the undead gunslinger himself—is still the star. You’ll slash, blast, and burn your way through 42 atmospheric levels packed with cultists, zombies, gargoyles, and all sorts of eldritch nightmares. The iconic arsenal returns too: the Flare Gun, Napalm Launcher, Tommy Gun, and the ever-chaotic Voodoo Doll and Life Leech.
