A new update suggests that there has been no progress toward a Bloodborne remake or PC port, despite years of fan demand for the beloved PlayStation exclusive.

No Movement on Bloodborne Remake
During a recent episode of the Game Mess podcast, Giant Bomb co-owner and insider Jeff Grubb addressed rumors about Sony’s PC ports and the possibility of Bloodborne being remade.
According to Grubb, after checking in “relatively recently,” he continues to hear that “nothing is happening with Bloodborne, so don’t expect that.”
Co-host Mike Minotti added that Bloodborne's future depends largely on FromSoftware’s involvement. However, the developer is currently focused on other major projects, including Elden Ring: Nightreign and The Duskbloods.
Grubb also noted that it doesn’t seem like FromSoftware is interested in handling the project alongside Sony at the moment, which leaves the situation at a standstill.
A Cult Classic Stuck on PlayStation 4
Released in 2015, Bloodborne quickly became one of PlayStation 4’s most acclaimed titles, praised for its Gothic horror atmosphere, fast-paced combat, and Lovecraftian world design. Yet nearly a decade later, the game remains locked to its original hardware.
Even when PlayStation fans expected news during showcases or State of Play events, nothing has materialized. At one point, FromSoftware’s announcement of The Duskbloods for Nintendo Switch 2 even fueled rumors of a connection to Bloodborne, though those hopes were quickly dispelled.
Hidetaka Miyazaki, president of FromSoftware, has previously acknowledged that new hardware like the PS5 could give a Bloodborne remake “value.” However, he has remained largely silent on whether such a project is planned.
Meanwhile, Sony, which owns the Bloodborne IP, has also been reluctant to allow unofficial enhancements. The company previously issued a DMCA notice against a fan-made 60fps patch.
While it’s possible that Sony and FromSoftware could revisit the project in the future, Grubb’s comments suggest that fans may be waiting a long while.
