CD Projekt Red posted 435 million PLN ($116.5 million) in revenue during the first half of 2026, along with 249 million PLN ($66.7 million) in consolidated net profit. That puts the studio's net profitability for the period at 57.2%, and the numbers come alongside a fresh roadmap for both the Witcher and Cyberpunk franchises.

Witcher series

Three major releases are now lined up across three straight years:

  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered, launching September 29, 2026

  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past, arriving in 2027

  • The Witcher 4, targeted for a 2028 release window

Songs of the Past is the third expansion for The Witcher 3, built in collaboration with Fool's Theory. The studio debuted its first gameplay trailer at gamescom, and since then it has already racked up 900,000 wishlists.

Michał Nowakowski, Joint CEO of CD Projekt Red, called it a turning point for the franchise. "This foundation enables us to chart the future of the universe over a period of multiple years, instead than focusing on a single release," he said.

"Eleven years after his last adventure, Geralt will hit the trail one more time before Ciri takes over as the main protagonist in The Witcher 4."

As for the Remastered edition, it's heading to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and for the first time, a native Nintendo Switch 2 release. It bundles in both existing expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, and it's free for anyone who already owns the base game. Thanks to a partnership with Blizzard Entertainment, both Remastered and Songs of the Past will also land on Battle.net.

The Witcher 3 alone has now sold over 65 million copies, and the series as a whole has crossed 90 million.

Cyberpunk series

Cyberpunk 2077 just crossed 40 million copies sold, nearly six years after launch, and the Phantom Liberty expansion has moved 15 million units in under three years.

Nowakowski framed this as a sign the franchise has outgrown being just a game. "Cyberpunk has now become a broad franchise, whose scope extends well beyond video games themselves," he said, pointing to Night City's appearances in Wuthering Waves and Apex Legends this year, along with a Cyberpunk trading card game that became the most funded project in Kickstarter's history.

According to CFO Piotr Nielubowicz, licensing is also playing a bigger role than ever in the company's results. "Our high revenues in the first half of 2026 were enabled by strong sales of games from the Cyberpunk and Witcher universes," he said. "In addition, this year a significant contribution came from licensing our IP, an activity which is progressively becoming more important for us."

How big is the team now?

CD Projekt Red's headcount has grown fast too. As of July 31, the studio had 1,045 developers working across active projects, up from 975 back in April. Here's how that breaks down:

  • The Witcher 4: 519

  • Cyberpunk 2: 184

  • Sirius (rumored Witcher multiplayer or remake project): 84

  • Hadar (new IP): 33

  • Shared services: 196

  • Other: 30

Project Hadar is a new IP that's still in the prototyping stage, with details kept close to the chest for now.
