Clash of Clans World Championship 2025 Heads to DreamHack Atlanta with $700k Prize Pool

Clash of Clans World Championship

Clash of Clans World Championship is officially set to return this year as part of DreamHack Atlanta 2025.

From October 31 to November 2, the world’s top Clash of Clans teams will gather at the Georgia World Congress Center to battle it out for $700,000 (~£518,123) in prize money.

This marks the first confirmed esports title for DreamHack Atlanta 2025, operated by the ESL FACEIT Group.

Who’s Competing in 2025?

A total of 8 elite teams will qualify for the World Championship. These include:

  • DIZI (Argentina)

  • Dizi eSports (Argentina)

  • Six additional teams via:

    • Open Ladder Play - In-game leaderboard performance

    • Monthly Qualifiers - 8 teams compete in a double-elimination bracket during the monthly finals, with one team advancing

    • Chinese Regional Qualifier

    • Last Chance Qualifier

At the main event, the 8 qualified teams will compete in another double-elimination bracket, allowing strategic gameplay throughout the three-day showdown.

Prize Pool Drops from $1 Million to $700,000

One of the most notable changes in this year’s championship is the 30% decrease in prize money. The 2024 edition offered a $1 million prize pool, while the 2025 tournament has reduced that amount to $700,000.

While Supercell did not explicitly explain the reasoning for the reduction in official statement, several factors could contribute, like: redistributing funds across other esports, Brawl Stars & Clash Royale events; supporting a broader competitive ecosystem, like lower Town Hall competitions.
