Crusader Kings 3 All Under Heaven Expansion: Release Date, Price, and Features

Paradox Interactive has confirmed that Crusader Kings 3: All Under Heaven, the game’s largest expansion to date, will officially release on October 28, 2025. The DLC marks a major milestone for the grand strategy RPG, expanding its map eastward to include medieval China, Japan, and Southeast Asia — regions never before featured in the series.

What’s Included in All Under Heaven?

This expansion isn’t just about geography. All Under Heaven introduces new government systems, titles, and gameplay mechanics tailored to the cultures and politics of East Asia.

  • China: Players can pursue the Mandate of Heaven, a new Hegemony title that places them at the top of the imperial hierarchy. The Celestial government system introduces a dynamic dynastic cycle, where stability and chaos shape the rise and fall of rulers.

  • Japan: You’ll be able to climb the ranks of court politics to become a Shogun or Kampaku regent, navigating alliances, rituals, and samurai warfare. The expansion allows players to unite noble houses or restore power to the Yamato emperor.

  • Southeast Asia: The region features mandala-style governments, where rulers can become Devaraja (god-kings) and build temple-centered empires. Players can also tap into the Silk Road for trade and innovation, adding new layers to economic strategy.

The expansion also includes new historical bookmarks, cultural traditions, and language support for Japanese.

The expansion marks a major geographic shift for Crusader Kings III, which has traditionally focused on Europe, North Africa, and parts of the Middle East. Game director Alexander Oltner explained in a press release that the team wanted to “tell the entire Medieval world,” and East Asia was the missing piece until now.

All Under Heaven will be available for $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99 as a standalone purchase. It’s also included in the Crusader Kings 3 Chapter 4 Expansion Pass, which bundles multiple DLCs for players who want the full experience.
