Dream Games, a mobile game developer based in Turkey, has secured a significant investment from European private equity giant CVC.

According to Pocketgamer.biz, the investment values Dream Games at approximately $5 billion. This represents a substantial increase from its previous valuation of $2.75 billion in 2022, nearly doubling the company's worth in just 3 years.

Under the terms of the agreement, CVC will buy out the stakes of Dream Games' early venture capital investors who are exiting after five years of involvement. CVC will become Dream Games' only equity partner, supporting the development of new games and long-term strategic plans.

"This is a pivotal moment for Dream Games," said Soner Aydemir, co-founder and CEO of the company. "Their experience investing in category-leading companies and track record of supporting the long-term vision of founding teams make them ideal partners as we continue to enhance our global leadership."

The transaction includes debt financing from investment management firm Blackstone and other investors. The deal is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025, pending regulatory approvals.

Founded in Istanbul, Dream Games has gained international recognition for its popular puzzle game "Royal Match".

Royal Match, launched in early 2021, has attracted more than six million monthly active users with its engaging visuals, compelling progression system, and accessible match-3 gameplay that appeals to players worldwide.

In 2024, Dream Games released Royal Kingdom, a sequel to Royal Match, which achieved impressive results by generating $2.4 million in revenue in just 14 days, surpassing the record set by its predecessor.

The company recently ran what many describe as one of the biggest marketing campaigns ever launched by a mobile gaming company for Royal Kingdom. The campaign featured major celebrities including LeBron James, Shakira, and Jimmy Fallon.

With this new investment, the company is poised to expand its "Royal" franchise and develop additional mobile titles for players around the world.
