No Subscription, Classic MMO Model

Despite being classified as an MMO, Dune: Awakening will not require a subscription. Instead, Funcom is adopting a traditional model:

  • Free updates will expand the story and gameplay with new features, enhancements, and content

  • Paid DLCs will focus on cosmetic content

The first DLC will be available at launch. It features placeables themed around Arrakis wildlife, including the iconic Shai-Hulud (sandworms).

Future DLC content and updates remain under wraps, but Funcom promises consistent, meaningful additions to the game world.

The Deluxe and Ultimate Editions Season Pass will cover four DLCs. However, Standard Edition players must purchase DLCs separately.
