A New Chapter for the Franchise
Dying Light: The Beast is being regarded internally as the spiritual Dying Light 3, marking the next chapter in the franchise that started back in 2015. The game will feature the return of protagonist Kyle Crane, which has been one of the most discussed aspects within the community.
Franchise director Tymon Smektala addressed the decision to push up the release, saying:
“Seeing the excitement from our community for the return of Kyle Crane in Dying Light: The Beast, and knowing the game is ready, we wanted to do something special for our players. We pushed ourselves to make the impossible possible, and that’s why we’re releasing the game a little earlier.”
For players, there’s an extra bonus as well: those who preorder (or have already preordered) will receive an exclusive in-game reward at launch. That reward hasn’t been detailed yet, but if past Dying Light promotions are anything to go by, we can probably expect something tied to cosmetics or unique weapons. Either way, it’s an extra incentive for those jumping in early.
