EA Sports FC 26 Reveals 12 New Icons, Featuring Totti, Iniesta, and Ibrahimović

EA Sports has revealed the 12 new Icons joining the roster in EA Sports FC 26, headlined by legendary names like Roma hero Francesco Totti and former Barcelona midfield maestro Andrés Iniesta.
The list also includes Ultimate Edition cover star Zlatan Ibrahimović, now officially confirmed as an Icon, alongside several other football greats.
The “Class of 26” brings a mix of recently retired stars and all-time legends from both the men’s and women’s game. According to EA Sports, seven of the newly added Icons have only just hung up their boots in recent years.
All of them will be available in Ultimate Team as some of the highest-rated players in the game, and they will also feature in offline modes such as Career Mode.

Giorgio Chiellini (CB, Italy, 89)
Steffi Jones (CB, Germany, 89)
Cha Bum-Kun (ST, South Korea, 88)
Sissi (CAM, Brazil, 88)
Many of these players will also feature in Clubs mode as part of the 13 historic players inspiring new Archetypes — each with unique traits and customization options. For example, Zlatan represents the Target archetype, Alex Morgan the Finisher, and Toni Kroos the Maestro. This gives players more control over shaping their virtual pro’s play style.
Pre-order incentives are also tied to this announcement. Fans who pre-order the Ultimate Edition by August 26 will receive one of 15 Debut Icons (untradeable) at launch, which will later upgrade to a Champion Icon in November.
Speaking on the announcement, Alex Morgan said, "To be recognized among the game's Icons is an honor, and I hope to continue inspiring the next generation." Meanwhile, Zlatan, in typical fashion, declared, "No matter what they say, Zlatan is back… the way it was meant to be."
EA Sports FC 26 will release on September 26, 2025, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Amazon Luna, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Early access for Ultimate Edition owners begins on September 19, 2025.
