PlayStation Plus subscribers are getting a strong lineup this February, with Marvel's Spider-Man 2 leading the charge alongside 8 other titles hitting the Extra and Premium tiers on February 17.
Insomniac’s critically acclaimed superhero adventure was originally launched on PS5 in October 2023 and later received a PC port in January 2025.
The game has been one of Sony's flagship exclusives since release, earning universal acclaim with a Metacritic score of 90 out of 100 from critics and an 8.6 user rating. Players praised its fluid web-swinging mechanics, engaging dual-protagonist system featuring both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, and a compelling narrative that pits the heroes against major threats like Venom and Kraven the Hunter across an expanded New York City.
The addition follows Sony's typical pattern of bringing premium first-party titles to the subscription service a couple years after launch, and it's likely to give subscriber numbers a nice boost.
Joining Spider-Man 2 is Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, an open-world MMO racer set on a meticulously recreated 1:1 scale Hong Kong Island, with a focus on car collecting and clan-based competition. Released in September 2024 to mixed reviews, largely due to server issues, KT Racing has been working on fixes and enhancements since launch.
Capcom is also bringing both Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin to the service. Unlike the mainline Monster Hunter games, these spin-offs focus on turn-based combat and monster bonding rather than traditional hunting. The remastered first game, originally a 3DS title, now comes with HD visuals and voice acting, while the sequel expands on the formula with deeper mechanics and a more engaging narrative
The February lineup rounds out with some truly excellent indie offerings. Neva, from the team behind GRIS at Nomada Studio, has been turning heads since its October 2024 release. The puzzle-platformer follows Alba and her wolf companion Neva through a dying world across the seasons, delivering an emotional punch through its hand-drawn art style and atmospheric storytelling. Critics gave it an 87 on Metacritic, with players awarding it an 8.3 user score. The game will get a prologue DLC on February 19 that adds new story content, bosses, and challenges.
Season A Letter to the Future offers something more meditative, putting players on a bicycle journey as Estelle to document a world before catastrophe strikes. The 2023 release from Scavengers Studio earned around 80 on Metacritic for its beautiful art direction, thoughtful themes about preservation and change, and relaxing exploration focused on photography and journaling.
Venba brings a deeply personal narrative about an Indian immigrant mother in 1980s Canada reconnecting with her family through cooking and rediscovering lost recipes. Despite its brief runtime of just one to two hours, the game scored between 79 and 84 on Metacritic thanks to its heartfelt storytelling, cultural authenticity, and moving soundtrack.
Echoes of the End Enhanced Edition offers a fantasy action-adventure that received major combat and visual overhauls in its Enhanced update last October.
Rugby 25 brings over 140 licensed teams and cross-play support.
Premium subscribers get one additional classic title with Disney Pixar Wall-E, the 2008 platformer tie-in that follows the beloved robot's journey from cleaning Earth to adventuring through space.
