Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade Heads to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade

Square Enix has officially confirmed that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will be arriving on the Nintendo Switch 2 in Winter 2025.

The announcement was made on August 27 through the official Final Fantasy VII X (formerly Twitter) account, where Square Enix revealed that the game will run at a stable 30 frames per second with smooth performance and crisp visuals. While an exact release date has not been shared, the “Winter 2025” launch window suggests it could land just in time for the holiday season.

This move doesn’t come as much of a surprise. Back in May 2025, Final Fantasy VII Remake director Naoki Hamaguchi mentioned that the Nintendo Switch 2 would be powerful enough to run the Remake series. Now, it looks like the system will live up to that expectation.

As for what comes next, Intergrade likely won’t be the only Final Fantasy VII title heading to Switch 2. With the success of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, many expect a port of that installment to follow, and eventually, the third and final chapter of the trilogy should also make its way over.

In short, Switch 2 owners can look forward to plenty of Final Fantasy adventures in the coming years.
