Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 is shaping up to be one of the biggest crossover seasons yet, with new leaks confirming a full-blown "gaming legends" theme.
Chapter 7 Season 3, known as Runners, is still going strong with its Sprite collectibles and crossovers featuring John Wick, DC, and Spider-Man. But all of that is about to take a backseat once the next season rolls in.
Gaming Legends Set To Headline Season 4
Reliable leakers ShiinaBR and HYPEX have pulled fresh details from encrypted files found in the latest Fortnite update. According to their findings, Epic Games is going all in on classic gaming icons for the new season:
Sonic the Hedgehog and Dr Eggman
Persona, likely featuring Joker from Persona 5
Mega Man
Tetris
Pac Man
There are also a few less certain names floating around, including Kingdom Hearts' Sora, Crash Bandicoot, and possibly more Persona content down the line.
As for new games, an encrypted file also suggests Star Wars: Zero Company, Phantom Blade 0, Arknights: Endfield, Control Resonant, and Kernel Hearts.
Figuring out how some of these will translate into the game is going to be interesting. Sonic and Mega Man feel like obvious skin material. Pac-Man is a trickier fit given how different his design is from a typical Fortnite character. Tetris is anyone's guess at this point, and it might end up as themed items or emotes rather than a full skin.
When Does The New Season Start?
Season 3 is set to end on August 19, 2026, according to the in-game Battle Pass timer. Most sources suggest Season 4 will start around August 20, though the exact date could change.
This will also be the final full-length season of Chapter 7. As per reports from various leak trackers, it should be followed by a shorter mini-season, similar to last year's Simpsons collab, before the chapter wraps up with a live event.
