Fortnite Adds Percy Jackson Island Ahead of Disney+ Season 2

Fortnite is set to welcome a brand-new Percy Jackson experience just in time for the release of Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 on Disney+.

The crossover, titled Percy Jackson: Siege of Monsters, will launch on December 9, offering players a chance to step into the shoes of demigods and battle creatures straight out of Greek mythology.

The new island was revealed at CCXP25 in Brazil, where Disney showcased gameplay and cinematic footage.

The trailer highlighted iconic monsters such as the Minotaur, Scylla, and Charybdis, alongside familiar faces like Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, and Grover Underwood. The map itself is inspired by Camp Half-Blood, complete with Athenian-style architecture and training grounds.

Unlike some official Epic Games crossovers, Siege of Monsters is developed by Gauntlet, a Fortnite UEFN creative studio. This means it’s not directly affiliated with Epic but still fully playable within Fortnite. Players can search for the island in-game and dive into quests, mini-games, and battles designed to mirror the adventures of the Disney+ series.

Executive Producer Dan Shotz expressed his excitement about the project, noting that it allows fans to immerse themselves in the expanding Percy Jackson universe.

“Players will be able to fully immerse themselves into our expanding world as they get claimed by an Olympian god, embark on an epic quest and fight iconic monsters from the Percy Jackson universe,” Shotz said. "Everything in Percy Jackson: Siege of Monsters was built with such incredible detail to honor our series on Disney+ as well as book readers around the world. I hope fans have as much fun exploring this world, as we did bringing the series to life.”

The cast has also shared their enthusiasm. Walker Scobell, who plays Percy, joked that he’s happy to be remembered as “the guy from Fortnite.” Co-stars Aryan Simhadri and Leah Sava Jeffries echoed similar sentiments, with Jeffries admitting she’s ready to jump back into Fortnite now that her character Annabeth is part of the game. Dior Goodjohn, who portrays Clarisse, described the crossover as “insane” and surreal.

Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians premieres on Disney+ on December 10.
