FragPunk Console Release Date Confirmed — Timing and Rewards

FragPunk is the latest high-speed FPS making waves on PC — but until now, console players were left wondering when they'd get their shot.

Well, good news: we finally have a release window, and if you're on PlayStation or Xbox, it's time to start warming up those trigger fingers.

When Does FragPunk Release on Consoles?

The FragPunk developers announced: FragPunk releases tomorrow, April 29th, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

No love for PS4 or Xbox One players, sadly!

The console release is expected to mirror the PC version pretty closely, with all maps, modes, cosmetics, and more making the jump.

Here's when servers are expected to go live, depending on your region:

Will It Support Crossplay?

Crossplay and cross-progression will be available at launch, meaning PC, Xbox, and PlayStation players can squad up — or square off — no matter the platform.

The devs have also confirmed "enhanced" aim assist for controller users. That’s pretty standard these days, but some players have expressed mixed feelings, with controller users appreciating the addition but wanting it balanced to avoid being as strong as in games like Call of Duty.

Special Gifts for Console Players

Now for the really fun part: console players are getting a massive bundle of gifts to celebrate the launch — a big thank-you for waiting through the delay.

Here’s what you’ll score if you start playing FragPunk on console:

Exclusive Time-Limited Event Rewards:

All new console players will receive all exclusive time-limited event rewards from the start of Season 1 (March 6) up to April 29. This includes cosmetics, in-game currencies, and XP that PC players earned through events.

Pioneer Bundle Bonuses:

Players who purchased the Pioneer Bundle on console platforms before the delay will receive additional gifts. These include:

$10 worth of in-game currency (which includes Coins*18,888 and FragPunk Coins*300).

Missed out on it? No worries — the Pioneer Bundles will be re-released for consoles at launch and will be available for one month only.

Season 1 Battle Pass Compensation:

Since console players missed out on the start of Season 1, here’s how FragPunk is making up for it: If you buy the Premium or Ultimate Battle Pass for Season 1 Chapter 2, you’ll automatically get all rewards from Chapter 1 (minus the 900 Coins).

Skins, cosmetics, and bonuses will be delivered straight to your in-game mail after the Season 2 update.

If you’re linking an existing PC account, you must start a new console account to claim the gifts (they're exclusive to fresh console signups).

Oh, and if you’re playing via the Xbox PC version (Windows Store or Xbox App)? Good news — you’re included too. You’ll get the same gifts since you're counted as part of the console launch group.
