The First Berserker: Khazan will receive a free DLC pack in May 2025, according to developer Neople. While the exact contents of this upcoming expansion remain undisclosed, the announcement signals ongoing support for the recently released action game.
Released on March 27 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, The First Berserker: Khazan has enjoyed a positive reception from both critics and players. The game currently maintains an "overwhelmingly positive" rating on Steam with 91% of 10k reviews being positive. Players have particularly praised its fast-paced combat system and distinctive cel-shaded visual style.
Shortly after the game's launch, Neople outlined their future plans for The First Berserker: Khazan, with the free DLC being a central component.
Beyond the upcoming DLC, Neople continues to refine the game based on community feedback. The most recent update, released on April 4 (version 496652 on PC and 01.003.034/1.1.3.34 on consoles), significantly changed how players acquire gear through crafting and shopping. The new system ties gear level to the player's accumulated experience and Lacrima rather than character level, ensuring that character level resets no longer affect gear acquisition options.
According to Neople, players can expect at least one more update in April, focusing primarily on balance adjustments and bug fixes.
Additionally, the South Korean developer is working on implementing a highly requested feature: the ability to switch between Easy and Normal difficulties during a single playthrough. This option was intentionally omitted from the initial release, but Neople reversed their decision after receiving strong feedback from the player community.
