Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025: Call of Duty 7, Ghost of Yotei, Resident Evil Requiem Confirmed

Geoff Keighley, the host of Gamescom’s Opening Night Live (ONL), has revealed several major titles set to appear during this year’s showcase on Tuesday, August 19.
The lineup already includes some of the biggest names in gaming, ensuring that the two-hour event will be packed with reveals and updates.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Keighley confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be featured — a game that recently saw a wave of leaks ahead of the show.
Joining it are Microsoft-owned titles The Outer Worlds 2, Ninja Gaiden 4, and World of Warcraft: Midnight.
Sony will also make its mark with the PlayStation 5 exclusive Ghost of Yotei, while Capcom is bringing the much-anticipated Resident Evil Requiem.
Konami fans can look forward to Silent Hill f making an appearance.
The event will also spotlight Fallout Season 2, possibly with a debut trailer, alongside a live music performance from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
Although not on Keighley’s official list, developer Game Science has also confirmed Black Myth: Wukong will be there. Whether this means an Xbox release trailer or DLC reveal remains to be seen. Additionally, Lords of the Fallen 2 will make its debut, as confirmed by its developers.
Fans are also speculating about Hollow Knight: Silksong, which will be playable at Gamescom next week. While not officially confirmed for ONL, its presence has fueled hopes for a long-awaited release date.

Opening Night Live will stream globally on Tuesday at 8 PM CEST / 7 PM BST / 2 PM ET / 11 AM PT, starting with a 30-minute pre-show before the main presentation.
