Global Esports has officially returned to the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) competitive scene, confirming their participation in the upcoming BGMS 2025 with a brand-new roster. The lineup features Manya, Spraygod, Veron, Troye, and Fragger, led by seasoned coach Mayavi — marking a strategic comeback for one of India’s most recognized esports organizations.

This return comes after a ten-month absence. Back in October 2024, Global Esports had suspended its BGMI roster, citing sustainability concerns and uncertainty about Krafton’s 2025 esports roadmap. In a statement posted on December 21, 2024, the organization expressed frustration over “inflated salaries, delayed payouts, and no assured progression” in the early half of 2025, adding that running a team for “just one event per quarter” wasn’t financially viable. This decision led to their absence from early-season tournaments like BGIS and BMPS.

However, on August 12, 2025, the tide turned. As per the announcement shared on Instagram, CEO Rushindra Sinha dismissed disband rumors and promised a “bigger and better” return, citing improved conditions in the BGMI ecosystem. The revival is also timed perfectly with the hype around BGMS — one of the most prominent BGMI tournaments in India — organized by NODWIN Gaming.

The BGMS 2025 (Season 4) kicks off on August 18 and runs until September 14, featuring 48 teams split into two divisions: the Masters Series with 24 top-tier squads and the Challengers Series with another 24 teams, including the first-ever all-female lineup to promote diversity in BGMI esports.

Global Esports’ history in BGMI is nothing short of impressive. They famously won the inaugural BGMI Masters Series in 2022 after a stunning last-day comeback, securing 201 points to edge out GodLike Esports and Orangutan, taking home ₹25 lakh and a Hyundai Venue. Other notable victories include the Skyesports Mobile Open 2024, The Esports Club BGMI Invitationals (Seasons 3 & 4), THUG Invitational Season 5, and the Ruthless Invitational Showdown.

With an experienced roster, a proven coach, and a tournament they’ve conquered before, Global Esports’ return has sparked excitement among fans. Now, all eyes are on August 18 to see if they can reclaim their spot at the top of India’s BGMI ladder.
