KRAFTON India is bringing a unique twist to Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) this Independence Day with OG vs NG: The Legacy Battle — a two-day esports celebration pitting legendary veterans against the next wave of rising stars.

The event not only promises competitive action but also blends in lighthearted showmatches, creating a perfect mix of skill, nostalgia, and entertainment.

Veterans vs. New Blood

The concept is simple yet exciting — OG (Original Gangsters) teams feature some of India’s most iconic BGMI players like Mortal, Jonathan, Scout, and Dynamo, while NG (Next Generation) squads showcase newer talent like Goblin, Joker, Spower, and Dynamo, making waves in the competitive scene.

This setup highlights how far India’s esports ecosystem has come, with a stronger player base, bigger audiences, and growing investments.

The matches kick off on August 14, 2025, and wrap up on August 15, 2025, with a total prize pool of ₹8 Lakhs INR (about $9,500 USD). While the prize distribution hasn’t been fully revealed, it’s expected that the top-performing faction will take home the lion’s share, along with rewards for standout individual performances.
