Krafton India Esports has confirmed that the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2025 prize pool has reached ₹4 crore, making it the biggest in Indian esports history.
This figure is double the amount from previous BMPS editions and even beats the ₹3.2 crore prize pool of BGIS 2025.
So, how did we get from a ₹2 crore base prize pool all the way up to ₹4 crore?
Well, the boost came through an in-game event called Discovery Island, which ran from 17th May to 1st July. BGMI players earned Exploration Points by playing Classic Mode matches. These points helped unlock rewards and pushed the prize pool from ₹2 crore to ₹4 crore.
Along the way, players also unlocked up to 30 in-game rewards, including a slick permanent BGMI Esports Outfit.
The BMPS 2025 Grand Finals will happen from 4th to 6th July at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi. Sixteen top teams will compete for the title and a big share of the prize pool. With ₹4 crore on the line, the finals are expected to be intense and full of action.
This huge prize pool also supports Krafton’s new franchise league plans. Bigger rewards can attract more teams, brands, and investors, helping Indian esports grow faster.
In related news, the BGMI 3.9 update and the BGMI x Transformers crossover are landing this July.
