GOG.com, the DRM-free platform, has just unveiled One-Click Mods—a long-awaited feature that lets players browse, install, and launch mods directly from the GOG platform with zero hassle.

The announcement was made during the PC Gaming Show 2025.

What Are GOG One-Click Mods?

Modding has always been a cornerstone of the PC gaming experience, but it hasn’t always been the easiest thing to do—especially for newcomers. That’s exactly what GOG aims to fix with its new One-Click Mods system. According to the platform, the goal is simple: make installing mods "faster and easier than ever" with a curated selection of top-tier community mods.

Each supported game on GOG will now have a mod section directly on its game page, allowing players to simply click and play without worrying about manual file installs, mod loaders, or compatibility issues.

“Mods are an essential part of video game preservation,” said GOG in a press statement. “They fix bugs, restore content, and introduce entirely new adventures made by fans for fans.”

Which Games Support One-Click Mods at Launch?

Here’s the initial lineup of games and popular mods available right now on GOG via One-Click Mods:

  • Doom 3 – Phobos Mod - A story-driven prequel with classic FPS gameplay and modern enhancements.

  • Heroes of Might and Magic 3 – Horn of the Abyss - Adds new factions, creatures, campaigns, and major quality-of-life features like a working multiplayer lobby.

  • Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines – Unofficial Patch - Fixes hundreds of bugs, restores cut quests and characters, and improves the game’s stability and dialogue.

  • Fallout 4 – Fallout: London - A massive standalone mod that shifts the post-apocalyptic action to the UK with new storylines, factions, and areas.

  • Enderal: Forgotten Stories and The Chronicles Of Myrtana: Archolos are also available

Skyblivion Gets the Green Light

One of the most exciting additions is Skyblivion, which will be part of One-Click Mods later this year. The fan-made project recreates Oblivion inside the Skyrim engine.

Despite the recent launch of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, Bethesda has officially supported the mod, even gifting the Skyblivion team copies of the remaster. That’s a rare show of goodwill in the world of modding.

Where to Try One-Click Mods

Mods are now live on GOG.com for the listed games. To try them out:

  1. Head to the game’s store page on GOG.com

  2. Scroll down to the “Mods” section

  3. Click, install, and play—no file dragging or patching needed.

  4. All the GOG Mods are free

With One-Click Mods, GOG is doubling down on keeping classic PC games alive and thriving. The platform ensures mods that restore content, fix bugs, and introduce fresh gameplay are accessible to everyone—not just tech-savvy players.
