GTA 6: All Characters and Locations Revealed

After months of radio silence following its 2023 teaser, Rockstar Games has finally cracked open the vault on Grand Theft Auto 6. And let’s just say—there’s a lot to unpack. From new characters to a vibrant, chaotic reimagining of Florida (ahem, Leonida), the latest trailer finally gives fans a meaty glimpse at what’s coming in May 2026.

Main Characters of GTA 6

The game will feature two main characters that players can control: Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. These protagonists come from different backgrounds but find themselves working together in the crime-filled world of Vice City.

Jason Duval

Jason grew up surrounded by criminals and spent some time in the army trying to change his path. However, he eventually returned to a life of crime, working for drug runners in the Keys. According to the information on Rockstar's website, meeting Lucia has changed his life dramatically, though it's unclear if this change is "for the best or worst."

Lucia Caminos

Lucia was raised in Liberty City with dreams of a better life. She ended up in Leonida Penitentiary after fighting to protect her family. The second trailer shows her leaving prison with Jason, ready to make her mark on Vice City. Lucia is also shown to be a trained fighter with impressive combat skills.

Supporting Characters

Beyond the two main protagonists, Rockstar has revealed several other interesting characters who will play important roles in the game:

Cal Hampton: Jason's friend who enjoys monitoring Coast Guard communications and surfing the web. He seems content with his simple life but might get pulled into bigger schemes because of his friendship with Jason.

Brian Heder: An old-school drug smuggler who lets Jason live rent-free on one of his properties in exchange for help with illegal activities. Brian runs operations from his boat yard with his third wife, Lori.

Boobie Ike: Described as a "Vice City legend," he has built a legitimate business empire that includes real estate, a strip club, and a recording studio. As he says in the materials, "The club money pay for the studio, and the drug money pay for it all."

Dre'Quan Priest: A former drug dealer who has always dreamed of making it big in the music industry. He's partnered with Boobie Ike and is described as "more of a hustler than a gangster."

Real Dimez: A female rap duo consisting of Bae-Luxe and Roxy. They've leveraged their social media presence and rap skills to build a following and are now signed to Boobie Ike and Dre'Quan's record label.

Raul Bautista: An experienced bank robber who is always looking for new talent. He's described as confident and charming but also reckless, often raising the stakes with each new crime.

GTA 6 Locations

The game is set in the state of Leonida, Rockstar's version of Florida, with several distinct areas to explore:

Vice City: The main urban center, based on Miami, representing "the glamour, hustle, and greed of America captured in a single city." It features areas like Ocean Beach, Little Cuba, and the Tisha-Wocka flea market.

Leonida Keys: A more laid-back area where "life isn't flashy but it's easy," likely where Jason's story begins.

Grassrivers: Described as the "untamable jewel of Leonida's crown," known for alligators and other strange wildlife.

Port Gellhorn: An area full of cheap motels and closed-down attractions, seemingly inspired by Florida's tourist areas.

Ambrosia: The "heart of Leonida" where "American industry and old school values still reign supreme," featuring a sugar refinery and a dominant biker gang.

Mount Kalaga National Park: A wilderness area on the state's northern border with hunting and fishing spots, off-road trails, and "hillbilly mystics."

GTA 6 was recently delayed from its original release date and is now scheduled to launch on May 26, 2026. The new trailer gives fans a deeper look at what's to come, including hints that the game will feature elements of a love story between Jason and Lucia, while also satirizing the modern music industry and social media culture.

While voice actors for the characters have not yet been revealed, Rockstar has at least put an end to rumors that actor Troy Baker would be voicing Jason.

As more information becomes available in the coming months, GTA fans will surely be analyzing every detail while they wait for this highly anticipated release.
