Supergiant Games’ Hades 2 is officially set for full launch (v1.0), leaving Early Access on September 25, 2025, bringing the highly anticipated roguelike sequel to PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
The release marks the culmination of more than a year of community-driven development that has helped shape what is now the studio’s largest project to date.

When Does Hades 2 Release?
Hades 2 launches worldwide at the same universal time: 4:00 PM UTC on September 25, 2025, which translates into staggered local unlocks. For example:
San Francisco (PDT): 9:00 AM, Sept. 25

São Paulo (BRT): 1:00 PM, Sept. 25
London (BST): 5:00 PM, Sept. 25
Berlin (CEST): 6:00 PM, Sept. 25

Those who bought it in Early Access on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) will receive the 1.0 update for free. Save progress carries over seamlessly into the full release.
Which Platforms Are Supported?
At launch, Hades 2 will be available on:
PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) - Digital only.
Nintendo Switch - Digital, running at 60fps/720p in handheld and docked.
Nintendo Switch 2 - Digital, supporting 120fps/1080p in TV mode and 60fps/1080p handheld. Free upgrade for Switch owners.
All these additions are priced at $29.
A retail edition for Nintendo Switch 2 is also on the way, releasing on November 20, 2025. It includes a physical game card, a character compendium, a soundtrack DLC code, and a reversible cover, priced at $49.99 in North America. Importantly, this edition is backward compatible with the original Switch.
For now, no PlayStation or Xbox versions have been announced, making the Switch platforms a timed console exclusive.
The original Hades just returned to Game Pass on September 19 as a lead-up to the sequel, but Hades 2 will not be included there (or on PS Plus) for now.
