Halo Infinite's Last Update, "Operation: Infinite," Rolls Out Today: Expected Time and Content

Halo Infinite is closing a huge chapter with its last major content drop, ending four years of steady updates and shifting focus toward new Halo projects.

All about Halo Infinite’s final major update — Operation: Infinite brings 2X progression boosts, new armor sets, a massive 200+ item Exchange drop, fresh maps, Ranked updates, and Halo Studios’ future plans as the game enters its post-support phase.

If you’ve been following the game since launch, this update feels like both a celebration and a send-off. It’s a free patch arriving on November 18, and although Halo Studios (formerly 343 Industries) didn’t mention an exact release time, it’s expected to land around the studio’s usual 10-11 AM PT / 1-2 PM ET / 6 PM GMT / 3-4 AM JST (Nov 19) window, as per their previous update patterns.

But don’t worry, this “final” update isn’t a small one. In fact, it’s surprisingly generous. We’re getting doubled Career Rank and Spartan Point earnings, a new 100-tier Operation Pass, eight armor sets, six weapon skins, more than 30 fresh Spartan customizations, and one ranked map. It might not introduce new modes, but for anyone grinding progression, this is easily one of the most rewarding updates Halo Infinite has ever received.

As developers noted in their community post, the studio is now shifting its full attention toward "multiple" Halo projects currently in development. That includes Halo: Campaign Evolved, which was formally announced in October. According to the studio, this pivot requires the entire team to focus, which is why Operation: Infinite marks the end of major content support, though smaller events, challenges, and updates will continue.
