Nepal has made a major mark in global Esports with Horaa Esports becoming the country's first-ever team to qualify for the 2025 PUBG MOBILE World Cup x Esports World Cup (PMWC x EWC).

The milestone comes after a stellar second-place finish at the 2025 PUBG MOBILE Super League Central & South Asia (PMSL CSA) Spring, held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Horaa not only punched their ticket to the international stage but also took home NPR 2.84 million in prize money.

Throughout the tournament, Horaa Esports maintained strong consistency while facing off against 19 of the region's top-tier teams. Their Grand Finals total of 139 points reflected a mix of smart rotations, high elimination games, and strong finishes.

Representing the team were players JiGGL3, SkY, NoFear, SleepY, HaitDami, and MafiaNinja — each contributing to the squad’s overall momentum and discipline.

Match 2 on Finals Day 1 was a turning point, where Horaa secured a dominant chicken dinner. From there, they never looked back. SkY and NoFear, both veterans in the scene, stood out especially — with SkY earning the “Most Eliminations in a Day” award.

Nepal wasn’t represented by Horaa Esports alone. DRS Gaming and Tribe Aeromacy also made it to the PMSL CSA Spring Grand Finals, finishing 12th and 11th respectively. While they didn’t make it to the World Cup, their presence in the top 16 highlighted Nepal’s growing depth in Esports talent.

As per viewership statistics, the tournament pulled in over 14 million global views, with more than 140,000 peak viewers tuning in from Nepal.

Horaa Esports now prepares for their biggest stage yet — the 2025 PMWC x EWC, set for July in Riyadh. They’ll be one of just three teams representing the Central & South Asia region, putting Nepal right alongside some of the world’s elite PUBG MOBILE squads.
