The next major update for Infinity Nikki, titled Version 1.8: Danqing Season, is set to run from July 30 to September 2, introducing players to a new storyline, location, mini-games, and costumes inspired by traditional Chinese mythology.

This seasonal update centers around Danqing Island, a newly unveiled realm within Miraland. The term danqing refers to the ancient red and blue-green pigments used in Chinese classical art, and that essence flows through every aspect of this expansion—from its visuals to the gameplay mechanics.

In this story, Nikki and her companion Momo follow mysterious ripples in the Sea of Stars, eventually landing on an island that feels suspended in time.

From mist-covered mountains to reflective lakes and delicate bamboo forests, the island feels like a living ink painting. But beneath this peaceful surface lies a mystery—villagers are vanishing, and only by uncovering the truth can Nikki restore balance.

Players can expect more than just story progression. Danqing Season brings a variety of culturally inspired activities such as playing the Weiqi (Go) game, bamboo rafting, photo mode with traditional filters, and collecting exquisite costumes designed with historical influences.

The heart of the island’s mythology revolves around an annual ritual that awakens the spirit of the White Dragon, a guardian believed to protect the land. This leads to a major boss encounter against Inkshade: Painting Loong, a creature drenched in ink and lore.

Three standout outfits are featured in this version:

• Clouded Loong (5-star) – lets Nikki soar with a white dragon.

• Forever Bond (5-star) – summons poisonous mists and spirit cat-inspired cosmetics, even altering Nikki’s appearance in photo mode.

• Danqing Craft (Ability outfit) – gives Nikki the power to restore objects turned to ink.
