inZoi’s first free DLC, Island Getaway, will officially release on August 20, bringing a wave of tropical vibes, fresh gameplay, and even a Mac version launch on the same day.
The date also lines up with the start of gamescom 2025, where Krafton will showcase the expansion with a playable demo and new trailer.
The centerpiece of this update is Cahaya, a vibrant, Southeast Asia–inspired dual-island map that blends natural beauty with relaxed city life. Players can explore a main island and a resort island, try out activities like swimming, boating, and snorkeling, and dress their Zois in tropical-themed outfits, hairstyles, and décor. As per the developers, Cahaya’s design was shaped heavily by community feedback since inZoi’s Early Access debut earlier this year.
But the DLC isn’t just about a pretty new map — it’s also expanding gameplay across all inZoi worlds. Farming, mining, gem crafting, fishing, and even new rideable vehicles like motorcycles and electric scooters are being introduced. Enhanced interaction systems, including random gatherings, thought bubbles, and cooperative actions, aim to make player-created stories feel more dynamic and lifelike.
Quality-of-life improvements are also part of the update. Players can expect UI and UX tweaks for smoother gameplay, early-stage gamepad support, and over 90 new music tracks to enrich the game’s atmosphere.
The launch week will be packed with events. According to Krafton, a special community livestream, inZoi@Cahaya, will air on August 14, offering an early look at the DLC with developer commentary. At gamescom, attendees will get hands-on time with Island Getaway, and Krafton plans to run in-game events, influencer challenges, and a dedicated DLC hub for ongoing engagement.
The August 20 release also marks inZoi’s debut on Mac. The game will require an M2 or newer chip with at least 16GB of unified memory.
