Karmine Corp emerged as champions of the Esports World Cup 2025 Rocket League tournament after defeating Geekay Esports 4-1 in the grand final held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The victory capped off a flawless run for the French powerhouse, who never dropped a single series throughout the event.

The journey to the title was steady and calculated. Karmine opened their Sunday with a hard-fought 4-2 semifinal win against Team Falcons. Although they stumbled on the first map against Falcons, the team quickly regained control, pulling off clutch wins on Forbidden Temple and DFH Stadium before closing the series on AquaDome and Neo Tokyo.

On the other side of the bracket, Geekay Esports survived a nail-biting 4-3 semifinal against Team Vitality, edging the European giants with a 2-1 overtime win on Champions Field in the deciding seventh map. That upset set up a final between the consistent Karmine and the lower-bracket-surviving Geekay.

When the two sides met, Karmine wasted no time taking control. They went up 3-0 early in the best-of-seven, shutting down Geekay’s offense across three consecutive maps. Geekay briefly fought back with a 3-1 win on Utopia Coliseum, but Karmine sealed the championship on AquaDome with a tight 1-0 finish.

The win awarded Karmine Corp $400,000 in prize money along with 1,000 EWC Club Points. For Geekay Esports, the runner-up spot earned them $180,000 and 750 Club Points, a strong showing despite falling short in the final. Team Falcons rounded out the podium by beating Vitality in another seven-map thriller to secure third place and $100,000 in winnings.

Here are the final standings and payouts from the tournament:

  • 1st: Karmine Corp — $400,000 + 1,000 points

In total, the event distributed $1 million in prize money. Beyond the cash, the 1,000 Club Points helped Karmine climb to 1,200 overall in the EWC standings, currently tying them for 11th place. Falcons, meanwhile, remain on top with 4,700 points.

The Rocket League event wasn’t just about gameplay — it also drew massive attention online. As per Esports Charts, the tournament reached a peak of 230,209 viewers, averaging over 76,000 viewers across 31 hours of airtime. The most popular match was Geekay vs Team Vitality, which hit the peak audience number. Interestingly, French-language streams accounted for the highest share of concurrent viewers, thanks to the passionate fanbases of Karmine Corp and Vitality.

This viewership milestone placed the EWC Rocket League event above the RLCS 2025 Raleigh Major, proving the tournament’s growing appeal even outside Rocket League’s official competitive circuit. It also more than doubled the average viewership compared to the 2024 edition, marking a major leap in audience growth.
