Konami’s Survival Kids Reimagines a GBC Classic for Switch 2 Launch

Konami, the developer known for Silent Hill and Metal Gear, is releasing a co-op survival game called "Survival Kids" for the Nintendo Switch 2 on its launch date, June 5. This game represents a significant departure from Konami's usual offerings, as it reimagines a Game Boy Color title from 1999.

The premise of Survival Kids centers around four children who discover a map and set sail for adventure. Unfortunately, their lack of expedition experience leads to disaster when they're swept off course to a chain of deserted islands that exist on the backs of giant "whurtles" (whale-turtle creatures). With no immediate rescue in sight, players must work together to survive.

According to game previews, players will engage in various survival activities including chopping trees, fishing, cooking food, and building shelters while searching for a way home.
