Most of the Leisure Suit Larry Series Is Being Delisted from Steam

 Leisure Suit Larry

The infamous Leisure Suit Larry franchise is about to lose most of its digital storefront presence. Publisher Assemble Entertainment has confirmed that seven classic games in the series will be removed from Steam “soon”, though a precise date has not been shared.

Once the delisting takes effect, the games will no longer be available for purchase, but existing owners will retain full access through their Steam libraries.

“After decades of questionable pickup lines and unforgettable adventures, it’s finally time for Larry to hang up his leisure suit—at least the retro version of it,” the publisher wrote in its announcement.

What’s Being Delisted?

Here are the seven Leisure Suit Larry titles being removed:

  • Leisure Suit Larry – Magna Cum Laude Uncut and Uncensored

  • Leisure Suit Larry 1 – In the Land of the Lounge Lizards

  • Leisure Suit Larry 2 – Looking For Love (In Several Wrong Places)

  • Leisure Suit Larry 3 – Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals

  • Leisure Suit Larry 5 – Passionate Patti Does a Little Undercover Work

  • Leisure Suit Larry 6 – Shape Up Or Slip Out

  • Leisure Suit Larry 7 – Love for Sail

This group represents the classic era of Larry, spanning from the series’ 1987 debut through the early 2000s.

Why Are They Being Delisted?

Assemble has not given an official reason for the removal. However, in cases like this—especially with older, offline games—licensing complications (such as music rights or expired publishing agreements) are the most common cause.

What’s Staying on Steam?

Not all is lost for Larry fans. The following modern-era reboot titles will remain available on Steam:

  • Leisure Suit Larry – Wet Dreams Don’t Dry (2018)

  • Leisure Suit Larry – Wet Dreams Dry Twice (2020)

These games updated the formula with modern graphics and humor, while still channeling the spirit of the franchise’s awkward antihero.

The Legacy of Larry

First published by Sierra Entertainment in 1987, Leisure Suit Larry built a cult following for its risqué humor, adult themes, and point-and-click puzzles. Despite controversy, the series managed to stand out in the adventure game genre.

One installment, Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust, often considered a low point in the series, has never appeared on Steam, and is not affected by this delisting.

With no confirmed delisting date, the window to grab these seven games is unclear. For collectors or longtime fans of 1980s and '90s adventure gaming, this might be the last opportunity to legally purchase them on Steam.

We’ll update if Assemble Entertainment shares more details, but until then—Larry's legacy is getting a bit smaller in the Steam store.
