Life Is Strange: Reunion launches on March 26, 2026, and here is everything you need to know before it drops.
Developed by Deck Nine Games and published by Square Enix, Reunion is a narrative adventure title and the final chapter in the Max and Chloe saga.
It picks up directly after the events of Life Is Strange: Double Exposure and brings both iconic characters together as co-leads for the very first time. The game is a complete, non-episodic experience, so no waiting around for chapters this time.
The Story
Max Caulfield returns from a weekend away only to discover that the entire campus of Caledon University is on the brink of a deadly fire, one that threatens her students, friends, and colleagues. Using her Rewind power, she has 3 days to investigate the cause and stop the blaze.
Then there is Chloe Price. She shows up unexpectedly, a direct result of Max merging timelines in Double Exposure, and she is not doing well. She is haunted by nightmares and impossible memories, and she needs Max's help before her own reality completely falls apart.
You play as both characters, switching perspectives to solve the mystery, push conversations, and make some genuinely tough calls that affect who survives by the end.
Gameplay
The gameplay builds on classic Life Is Strange mechanics while refining what already worked. Here is what to expect:
Max's Rewind ability returns, letting players undo decisions, rework conversations, and tackle environmental puzzles across four dimensions
Chloe's Backtalk from Before the Storm is back, allowing players to manipulate people and unlock paths Max simply cannot access
Players can now control conversations between both characters in certain scenes, steering dialogue from either side
Max can take photos at any time, not just at designated hotspots
Both characters have their own journals and phones with text messages
The game features exploration, investigation, sneaking sequences, collectibles, and a fully branching narrative
Estimated playtime sits between 10 to 15 hours, depending on how much you explore and how many choices you agonize over.
