Lost Soul Aside, the long-anticipated action RPG from Chinese developer Ultizero Games, is finally arriving on August 29, 2025.

After multiple delays and years of behind-the-scenes work, the project has now "gone gold". For fans who’ve followed the game since it went viral in 2016, this marks the end of a very long wait.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Lost Soul Aside release date, platform availability, digital and physical editions, and detailed PC specs.

Release Date: August 29, 2025

After its most recent delay from May to August, Ultizero Games has now confirmed a global release date of August 29, 2025, for most regions.

However, players in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and South Korea will receive the game slightly later, on August 30, 2025, due to regional rollout schedules.

As of now, the game is not expected to face any additional delays. According to Ultizero’s official WeChat post, the game has gone gold and is currently undergoing final platform certification and optimization.

Platforms: PS5 and PC Only

Lost Soul Aside will launch on:

  • PlayStation 5

  • PC via Steam and Epic Games Store

There is no Xbox or Nintendo Switch version planned at this time, and the previously teased PlayStation 4 version appears to have been dropped during development. The decision to focus on next-gen and PC platforms likely reflects the game’s high graphical demands and the technical evolution over its 11-year development cycle.

No mention has been made of a future release on Xbox Series X|S or any cloud streaming platforms, so for now, PS5 and PC are the only confirmed options.

Editions: Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Physical (PS5)

Lost Soul Aside is launching with three main purchasing options: a Standard Edition, a Digital Deluxe Edition, and a Physical Disc Edition for PS5. Here’s a breakdown of what each includes.

Standard Edition – $59.99 / £59.99 / €69.99 / ¥7,980 / CN¥268 / HK$298

PC Version Details: System Requirements & Features

If you’re planning to play Lost Soul Aside on PC, you’ll want to ensure your hardware is up to the task. The game features advanced graphics, ray-tracing, and DLSS 3 support, meaning both minimum and high-end rigs are covered.

Below are the official system requirements, as revealed by the developers.

Minimum Requirements (For 1080p, Low settings, 30 FPS):

  • GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1060 / AMD RX 5500 XT

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-10400 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600

  • RAM: 16 GB

  • Storage: 80 GB SSD

  • OS: Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit)

Recommended Requirements (For 1080p, High settings, 60 FPS):

  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 2060 / AMD RX 5700 XT

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-10400 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600

  • RAM: 16 GB

  • Storage: 80 GB SSD

Ray-Tracing Enabled (For 1440p/4K):

  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-13700K / AMD Ryzen 7 7800X

  • RAM: 16 GB

  • Storage: 80 GB SSD

For those with powerful rigs, this setup will allow you to play with all visual bells and whistles — including advanced ray-tracing for shadows and reflections, unlocked framerates, and 4K resolution.

PC Features at a Glance:

  • Ray-tracing support for shadows, reflections, and ambient lighting

  • NVIDIA DLSS 3 for improved performance

  • Unlocked framerates for high-refresh-rate monitors

  • Customizable graphical presets

  • Full DualSense support (adaptive triggers, haptics) via USB

  • Keyboard & mouse support with full remapping options

  • No DRM beyond platform protection (Steam/Epic only)

File Size and Installation Notes

The confirmed PC file size is 80 GB, and an SSD is required to meet minimum performance targets. This aligns with modern AAA game standards and is comparable to games like Final Fantasy XVI and Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition.

For PlayStation 5, the exact install size has not been officially shared, but estimates suggest it could fall between 85–100 GB, depending on whether ray-tracing assets and day-one patches are bundled with the disc version.

What About Game Length and Post-Launch Support?

While not directly tied to release date or editions, many fans are also asking about content volume. Based on developer comments and edition plans, Lost Soul Aside is expected to offer 15–30 hours of core gameplay, with additional DLC content to be added via a Season Pass.

Post-launch support includes:

  • A major patch two weeks after release

  • Monthly updates for technical improvements

  • A holiday-themed quest in December 2025

  • Potential leaderboards and limited-time events later in the year

No Xbox, No Game Pass, No Cross-Play

Let’s clear up a few FAQs.

  • Not coming to Xbox Series X|S or Xbox Game Pass

  • No PlayStation 4 version

  • No cross-play or multiplayer features (it's a strictly single-player game)

  • No PS Plus inclusion announced for launch

That said, Sony’s involvement as publisher and supporter under the China Hero Project means the game remains a console-exclusive for PS5, with PC being the only other platform option for now.

For those who’ve followed its development journey from solo project to AAA partnership, the August 29 launch will feel like the end of a very long road — and the beginning of an exciting new adventure.
