After over a decade of speculation, wishful thinking, and fake rumors, Rockstar Games is finally delivering on a long-standing community request—purchasable mansions are coming to GTA Online. That’s right, players will soon be able to live the luxurious Vinewood Hills lifestyle they’ve always dreamed of, just months before GTA 6 rolls around.
Rockstar Teases Winter Update with Long-Awaited Feature
The news broke shortly after the launch of the latest GTA Online update, Money Fronts, which hit consoles and PC this week. While this update brought three new criminal businesses to own and operate, the real surprise was hidden beneath the surface.
Thanks to reliable GTA V dataminer Floorball, we now know that Rockstar has quietly planted the seeds for its Winter 2025 DLC—and at the heart of it lies a brand-new business called Prix Luxury Real Estate. This in-game company will reportedly be the gateway to acquiring mansions in GTA Online.
One particular string of text discovered in the game files reads:
“You have earned an exclusive discount on a future property purchase with Prix Luxury Real Estate. They will be in contact again soon when properties become available.”
This suggests players who engage with the current update may earn future discounts on the upcoming mansions—a clever way to tie the two DLCs together and encourage continued engagement.

What We Know So Far
Additional leaked strings hint at a series of missions involving a luxury property developer and a client, pointing toward some kind of questline or setup work ahead of the actual mansion launch. Tasks like “New Listings Due Diligence” and “New Listings Fixes & Fittings” suggest players may help renovate or prep properties before buying them—possibly a twist on the real estate grind.

The inclusion of this feature is monumental. Ever since GTA Online launched in 2013, players have been asking for the ability to buy proper mansions, not just high-end apartments or penthouses. While previous DLCs brought luxury content in bits and pieces, nothing quite matched the fantasy of owning a sprawling hillside estate.
Fitting Endgame Content Before GTA 6
With GTA 6 now officially delayed until May 26, 2026, Rockstar seems to be spacing out its final updates for GTA Online to keep the momentum going. Mansions are shaping up to be part of the grand send-off for GTA V’s online mode—a fitting reward for players who’ve spent years building their criminal empires.
The community has already erupted in excitement, with many calling this “the endgame” and “the perfect way to retire from crime in Los Santos.” Others speculate it could be the biggest “drip feed” update in GTA Online history, with more premium content expected to arrive gradually through early 2026.
How Much Will They Cost?
While there’s no official word on pricing yet, don’t expect these new properties to come cheap. Considering the trend with other high-end real estate in GTA Online, it's likely that mansions will range anywhere from $5 million to over $10 million GTA$, especially if they include custom interiors, garage space, or exclusive missions.
As always, Rockstar hasn’t officially confirmed every detail yet, but with dataminers on the case and the text strings already live, it’s only a matter of time before an official reveal drops.
