Manuel “ManuBachoore” Bachoore, a 20-year-old Dutch player from Team Liquid, secured the FC Pro 25 World Championship title on Sunday, becoming the first player to win consecutive World Championship titles.
The event was part of the Esports World Cup 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and marked an impressive mix of individual skill and team impact.
The FC Pro 25 World Championship is a solo, 1v1 FIFA-style competition on PlayStation 5, featuring 32 of the best players from around the globe. While the matches are purely individual, each competitor also represents an esports club, contributing points toward the overall Club Championship.
Team Liquid entered Sunday’s finals day with two players in contention — ManuBachoore and fellow Dutch player Levi “Levi de Weerd” de Weerd. Hopes for an all-Liquid final were dashed when Levi fell short in the semifinals, losing 5-4 to France’s Brice “Brice” Masson of Team Vitality. But ManuBachoore stepped up, not only clinching the championship with a 5-3 win over Brice but also avenging his teammate’s loss.
Earlier in the day, ManuBachoore had dispatched Brazil’s Guilherme “GuiBarros” Barros of RBLZ Gaming with a convincing 5-1 semifinal victory. Levi de Weerd bounced back from his semifinal defeat by beating GuiBarros 4-1 in the third-place match.
The tournament carried a $1 million total pool. ManuBachoore earned $250,000 and 1,000 points, while Brice took home $150,000 and 750 points for Team Vitality. Levi’s third-place finish earned him $70,000 and 500 points, and GuiBarros matched the prize money with $70,000 but gained 300 points.
