Team Secret claimed the Siege X Esports World Cup 2025 championship, defeating G2 Esports 3-0 in a grand final this Sunday.
The European squad delivered an exceptional display of coordination and adaptability, sealing the series with 7-4 wins on Kafe Dostoyevsky and Clubhouse, followed by a tense 8-7 victory on Nighthaven Labs.
While G2 entered the match as the clear favorites — having taken down both the Six Invitational 2024 winners FURIA Esports and the 2025 champions FaZe Clan — they couldn’t find the consistency they needed in the final. Their strong head-to-head record against Team Secret, with seven wins in their last eight meetings, suggested an edge, but on the day, the tables turned.
Team Secret’s Perfect Run
Group Stage (Group B): Defeated Team Falcons 8-6, then w7m esports 7-2 to secure playoff qualification.
Playoffs: Beat Weibo Gaming 2-0, swept Spacestation Gaming 2-0, and closed with a 3-0 win over G2 Esports in the final.
G2 Esports’ Journey
G2’s campaign had its highs and lows.
Group Stage (Group A): Beat Virtus.pro 7-3 but fell to Shopify Rebellion 5-7, forcing a lower bracket run where they defeated Faze Clan to qualify for playoffs.
Playoffs: Defeated Ninjas in Pyjamas 2-1, overcame FURIA 2-1, but were swept in the final.

This win is a big deal for European Siege fans — it’s the first international title for the region since Team BDS won the 2024 Esports World Cup.
And fun fact: this is now the fourth straight international grand final in Saudi Arabia to end with a 3-0 scoreline.
