Team Falcons have claimed victory at the 2025 Overwatch Champions Series (OWCS) Midseason Championship, held as part of the Overwatch 2 Esports World Cup (EWC), capping off an inspiring underdog run that began in the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ).

The Saudi Arabian squad delivered a commanding 4-0 sweep over Al Qadsiah in the grand final, earning the championship title and a massive $400,000 USD from the tournament’s $1,000,000 prize pool.

Led by legendary Overwatch coach Kim "SP9RK1E" Yeong-han, Team Falcons pulled off an unforgettable comeback narrative. From barely securing a spot through the LCQ to demolishing teams on the main stage, their rise has captured the attention of fans around the world.

Alongside SP9RK1E, players like Kim "Proper" Dong-hyun, Ham "SOMEONE" Jeong-wan, and Choi "MER1T" Tae-min formed a high-caliber core that outclassed every opponent in their path.

Adding to the celebration, Proper was named the Sony Tournament MVP, earning a separate $10,000 USD prize. He also received the Day 1 MVP title, underlining his consistency throughout the tournament.

Team Falcons as a whole was recognized with the Jafonso Award, worth an additional $50,000 USD, for their outstanding performance.

This marks another significant milestone for Team Falcons, who previously won the first-ever OWCS World Finals in November 2024. Their 2025 Midseason Championship win now cements them as one of the top Overwatch teams globally.
