Marathon is set to launch on March 5, 2026, bringing Bungie's new extraction shooter to all platforms for the first time.
Season 1, titled "DEATH IS THE FIRST STEP," kicks off right alongside the game's official launch.
When Does Marathon Season 1 Go Live?
Marathon Season 1 will go live on March 5, 2026, at 10 AM Pacific Time. Here are the global launch times for reference:

What Is in Season 1?
Bungie has confirmed the following will be available from day one:
Complete Faction and Contract progression
All 6 Factions, each with its own Upgrades and progression
All 6 launch Runner Shells
3 Zones (Outpost unlocks the day after launch)
28 Weapons, including Mods, Implants, Cores, and more
Earnable Cosmetics, Achievements, and storytelling through the Codex
Beyond the launch content, more is expected to roll out throughout Season 1. The fourth zone, Cryo Archive, will unlock once the community unlocks its way into orbit, with Bungie targeting a mid-March window for that.

Looking Further Ahead: Seasons 2 and 3
Bungie has already mapped out content through November 2026, with each season lasting roughly three months.
Season 2, titled "NIGHTFALL," is set to run from June to August. It introduces night-based zone conditions and new systems to shake up gameplay.

As for Season 3, which is slated to run from August to November, Bungie has not shared details yet.
