Marvel Rivals Halloween Update: Scarlet Witch, Blade, Spider-Man & More Get Horror Skins

Marvel Rivals is getting spooky just in time for October. NetEase has confirmed that a Halloween event is coming to the game, featuring seven new themed costumes that mix undead horror with cultural celebrations like Día de los Muertos.

While the exact release date and pricing aren’t finalized, most skins are expected to cost around 2,200 Units, the same as the Summer Special swimsuit skins.

All Confirmed Halloween Skins

Announced at the latest Dev Vision Vol. 10, here are the seven costumes coming with the Halloween update:

  • Scarlet Witch – Queen of the Dead

    • An undead Wanda Maximoff inspired by Marvel Zombies or What if?, featuring skeletal details and necrotic chaos magic.

  • Blade

    • The Daywalker with classic armor and blades.

  • Spider-Man – Man-Spider

    • A terrifying take on Peter Parker, with multiple limbs, insectoid features, and webbing gore.

  • Jeff the Land Shark – Jack-O’-Lantern

    • The adorable mascot reimagined as a pumpkin-headed trick-or-treater with a fiery grin.

  • Namor – Swordfish

    • The Atlantean ruler takes on an oceanic undead look, with finned armor, bioluminescent scales, and hooked tridents.

  • Peni Parker – Día de los Muertos

    • SP//dr redesigned as a sugar-skull mecha, complete with marigolds, skeletal patterns, and a vibrant black-orange palette.

Marvel Zombies Connection

A lot of fans noticed clear similarities between these skins and the ongoing Marvel Zombies animated series on Disney Plus, which premiered on September 24. While NetEase hasn’t confirmed if this is a direct collaboration or just a nod, the timing feels deliberate.

Since Marvel Rivals seasons typically follow a monthly schedule, the Halloween event may run before the actual holiday at the end of October, closing out near the end of Season 4.5.

Alongside the skins, players might also see a limited-time Halloween mode (similar to last year’s Christmas event), or map updates with haunted decorations, pumpkins, and darker lighting.

Community Reactions

Initial reactions to the Halloween lineup have been overwhelmingly positive, with many fans calling this the “best cosmetic drop yet.” The zombie theme has struck a chord, especially with the hype around Marvel Zombies.

  • One player wrote: “Zombie Wanda and Blade Knight? We won.”

  • Another said: “Queen of the Dead Scarlet Witch and Man-Spider skins are peak Halloween.”

  • Streamers have already started teasing “zombie variants for the full roster” while sharing fan art.

Others, meanwhile, highlighted individual favorites:

  • “Pumpkin Jeff is a must-have. That guy is too cute.”

  • “Spidey looks insane, reminds me of Man-Spider from the 90s cartoon.”

  • “Namor’s Swordfish skin looks legendary. I’ll actually play him for this.”

  • “Peni’s Día de Muertos skin is gorgeous, love the cultural touch.”

Still, a few fans are torn, with some wishing Scarlet Witch had received her classic WandaVision Halloween outfit instead of the zombie look.

Looking Ahead

The Halloween event doesn’t have a confirmed start date yet, but with Marvel Rivals Season 4.5 kicking off on October 10, it’s expected to roll out shortly afterward. Whether this is a limited-time sale or a recurring yearly event remains to be seen.

Either way, with skins that range from terrifying to adorable, Marvel Rivals seems ready to celebrate the season in style. And if community buzz is anything to go by, Jeff the Land Shark might just steal Halloween.

Marvel Rivals is available free-to-play on PC (Steam & Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4 & 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
