Marvel Rivals Celebrates First Anniversary With Psylocke and Luna Snow Skins

Marvel Rivals is celebrating its first anniversary. The festivities kicked off last week with free limited-time currency giveaways, but the real highlight comes now in the form of two brand-new legendary skins for Psylocke and Luna Snow.
Psylocke’s Daring Daifuku Outfit
Psylocke’s new legendary skin, the Daring Daifuku costume, is priced at 2400 Units—consistent with other legendary skins in the game.
What makes this skin stand out is its unique gacha mechanic. Players can throw shurikens at popping balloons for 100 Units each, and if they manage to unlock Psylocke’s outfit, the rest of the bundle items, including the Daring Daifuku emoji, are granted for free. Importantly, the total cost will never exceed the 2400 Unit threshold, making it a risk-free gamble for those already planning to buy the skin.
The design itself is inspired by the Japanese sweet daifuku, a mochi stuffed with fillings like strawberries or red bean paste. It’s a playful yet elegant look for Psylocke. The costume will be available during the Van Dyne’s: Grand Opening event from December 4 to December 18, with additional custom colors and ultimate ability VFX available in the shop until January 2, 2026.
Luna Snow’s Cherry Delight
Not to be outdone, Luna Snow is also receiving a new skin called Cherry Delight, which will be a permanent addition to the shop starting December 5. Priced at 2,400 Units, the outfit features a mix of dark chocolate, cream, and cherry tones, giving Seol Hee a striking bakery-inspired look. Alongside the skin, players can also grab the Emoji Combo to complete the set.
Anniversary Events and Rewards
NetEase has lined up several anniversary events to keep players engaged:
Rivals’ Day Times Square Countdown: On December 6, 2025 (UTC), fans can join a midnight countdown with fireworks and earn 200 Units plus the Rivals’ Day 2025 title.
Marvel Rivals Year in Review: Starting the same day, players can access their personalized Rivals Rewind report and share it to earn another 200 Units.
Marvel Zombies Mode: Due to its popularity, the mode has been extended until January 16, 2026, giving players more time to battle the Queen of the Dead.
Patch Fixes and Optimizations
The anniversary patch also brings quality-of-life improvements. Players can now access the Rivals Assemble event interface directly from Times Square, and a Quick Copy Friend UID option has been added for easier coordination. Several bug fixes have also been rolled out, including Doctor Strange’s shield facing the wrong direction, Adam Warlock’s replay glitch, and Angela’s charge freezing under poor network conditions.
