Marvel Rivals Season 2.5 Leaks: New Hero Ultron and Arakko Map Coming Soon

Dataminers have already uncovered details about Marvel Rivals' upcoming Season 2.5 update, just days after Season 2 launched.

While NetEase hasn't released official patch notes yet, numerous leaks on social media suggest that the update will introduce Ultron as a playable character and add a new map called Arakko.

New Map: Arakko

According to prominent dataminer 'X0X_LEAK' on X, game files reveal that Arakko will be the newest map added in Season 2.5. The leaker discovered several lore entries that provide background on this location.

One entry describes an attack on Krakoa where the assailant captures Cerebro before heading to Arakko. Another entry mentions that Mutants on Krakoa lost contact with their allies on Arakko. The files also reveal that "Not even the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda, with all of their technological advancements, have been able to locate Arakko's current coordinates in their stellar atlas."

New Hero: Ultron

Ultron has been confirmed as the next playable character joining Marvel Rivals. Though he appeared in the Season 2 Hellfire Gala cinematic trailer, players won't be able to use him until the Season 2.5 update arrives.

Leaked information suggests Ultron will be classified as a Strategist. His abilities reportedly include:

• Primary Weapon: Encephalo-Ray – A burning energy beam attack

• Passive: Algorithm Correction – Hold Space to fall slowly while in the air

• Dynamic Flight (Shift) – Dash in your movement direction before entering free-flight mode

• Imperative: Patch (E) – Summon a large drone that follows an ally, healing nearby teammates

• Imperative: Firewall (RMB) – Call drones that give bonus health to nearby allies

• Ultimate: Rage of Ultron – Summon Ultron Drones that fire Encephalo-Rays to damage enemies or heal allies

The leaks suggest Ultron will have a unique playstyle that combines offensive capabilities with supporting teammates through healing and protective abilities.

Release Date and Update Details

According to the report, the Marvel Rivals Season 2.5 update is scheduled to launch on May 30, 2025. The update will release simultaneously across all regions, though servers will temporarily go offline for maintenance during deployment.

Players can expect the usual seasonal content beyond just the new character and map, potentially including balance changes, cosmetic items, and gameplay adjustments. However, specific details about additional features remain unknown until NetEase releases official information.
