Microsoft has announced another price increase for its Xbox Series X and Series S consoles in the United States, citing "changes in the macroeconomic environment."

The new prices will take effect on October 3, 2025, marking the second increase this year for Xbox hardware in the U.S. market.

New Xbox Console Pricing (U.S. RRP):
Xbox Series S 512GB - $399.99 (previously $379.99)

Xbox Series S 1TB - $449.99 (previously $429.99)

Xbox Series X Digital - $599.99 (previously $549.99)

Xbox Series X - $649.99 (previously $599.99)

Xbox Series X 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition - $799.99 (previously $729.99)

Earlier in May, we saw over a 20% increase in the mentioned product, including accessories, across the UK, Australia, and other regions. This time, it is limited to consoles only in the US for now.

The U.S. government has imposed a range of tariffs on imports from countries like China, Vietnam, and India, aiming to encourage domestic manufacturing. However, due to gaps in labor and infrastructure, companies such as Microsoft continue to rely heavily on these regions for producing technology hardware.

The Xbox Series X|S consoles are particularly affected since most of their components, from chips and storage to circuitry, are manufactured in China. These parts face duties ranging anywhere between 10% and 40%, forcing companies to either raise prices, adjust their supply chains, or absorb mounting costs.
