Minecraft’s Free Superman Skin Pack Now Live — Ties in with DC’s New Movie Launch

The Superman Skin Pack for Minecraft is now live, dropping just in time for the release of James Gunn’s new Superman movie, which officially hit theaters today, July 11, 2025.

Developed by Oreville Studios, the cosmetic pack is free to download and is available exclusively on the Minecraft Marketplace for Bedrock Edition — that includes Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, Windows 10/11, iOS, and Android.

This special release includes five character skins directly inspired by the movie’s designs:

• Superman

• Lois Lane

• Green Lantern (Guy Gardner)

• Hawkgirl (Kendra Saunders)

• Mr. Terrific (Michael Holt)

While these skins don’t offer any gameplay boosts or powers, they do let fans of both Minecraft and DC step into the roles of some of the franchise’s most iconic characters.

To grab the pack, just head to the “Recently Added DLC” section in the Minecraft Marketplace, select the Superman Skin Pack, and hit “Get this Item.” It’s completely free — no Minecoins needed — though a Microsoft account is required. Here is the direct link to skip that.

The movie, which marks the first chapter of the revamped DC Universe, stars David Corenswet as Superman and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. The cast also includes Nicholas Hoult, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Edi Gathegi, and Anthony Carrigan. With the film now in theaters, Mojang’s Minecraft tie-in serves as a neat bonus for fans wanting to celebrate in-game.

As per the official Minecraft announcement, Mojang has also teased that a larger Superman-themed DLC could be on the way soon, though no specific release date or content details have been revealed yet. Some players are already speculating that missing characters like Lex Luthor might show up in that expanded content.

This isn’t Minecraft’s first DC crossover. In 2020, Mojang released a paid DC Super Heroes DLC, which included Batman, Wonder Woman, and other legendary characters in a full-blown adventure map. Unlike that, this Superman Skin Pack is purely cosmetic and part of a free promotional push tied to the film’s debut.
