MrBeast’s latest philanthropic initiative, TeamWater, has officially surpassed its ambitious fundraising goal of $40 million, ensuring access to clean water for 2 million people across six continents for decades to come.

Launched on August 1, 2025, the month-long campaign partnered with WaterAid, a global NGO specializing in water and sanitation, and rallied support from over 10,000 creators worldwide, collectively reaching more than 3 billion subscribers.

By the end of August, TeamWater had reached — and exceeded — its $40 million goal, making it one of the most successful creator-led charity drives in history.

MrBeast’s Announcement

In a celebratory video post on X (formerly Twitter), MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson) shared the news with his audience:

“We did it, guys. We hit our goal of raising $40 million. Every continent minus Antarctica are now going to be getting clean water through WaterAid. This campaign will change the lives of 2 million people for decades. Thank you to more than 10,000 creators who supported this mission.”

Donaldson emphasized the real-world impact:

“It’s not 200 people, it isn’t 20,000—it’s 2 million people who are now getting access to clean water because of TeamWater.” “This is going to change more lives than our little human brains can even comprehend.”

Record-Breaking Kick Stream

One of the campaign’s most notable highlights came earlier in August, when MrBeast made his debut on Kick, co-hosting a charity livestream with Adin Ross and xQc. That stream alone raised over $12 million in just 15.5 hours, breaking the Guinness World Record for the most money ever raised in a single livestream.

The stream also gained attention for several viral moments, including MrBeast’s rejection of a $5 million promotional offer from Stake’s CEO, Eddie Craven, where he firmly declared: “I don’t do gambling.” Then adult content creator Sofie Rain also weighed in with a commitment to donate over $1 million. "This is an awesome cause… I just want to support this because it's awesome," Rain said.

Global Creator Collaboration

More than 10,000 creators, ranging from mega-influencers to small channels, produced content supporting the campaign. MrBeast credited them with making the success possible, saying:

“$40 million is such a ridiculous sum of money. I could never raise that on my own. It only happened because thousands of creators came together.”

Real-World Impact

According to WaterAid, the funds will be allocated to projects in Africa, Asia, South America, and underserved regions in the U.S. and Europe. The initiative will support clean drinking water infrastructure, sanitation facilities, and hygiene education programs, ensuring long-term sustainability.

MrBeast, reflecting on his personal visits to water-insecure communities, explained:

“I’ve seen firsthand what the lack of clean water does—kids get sick, families struggle, and communities can’t thrive. For 2 million people, that’s going to change.”

Building on past campaigns like TeamTrees and TeamSeas, this effort showcased how digital creators can unite to achieve large-scale humanitarian goals.
