Indian indie developer underDOGS Studio has officially revealed the cast for its upcoming narrative adventure Mukti, the studio’s most ambitious title yet under Sony’s PlayStation India Hero Project. The game is set to launch in 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC.

Star-Studded Cast Announcement

According to Variety’s report, the star lineup includes:

  • Ahilya Bamroo (I Want to Talk) as protagonist Arya Roy

  • M.K. Raina, a veteran of Indian theater, as Dr. Vikram Roy

  • Pawan Chopra as Commodore Balraj Gill

  • Sraman Chatterjee as Hasan

“These aren’t cameos,” said Vaibhav Chavan, the director of Mukti and founder-CEO of underDOGS Studio. “They are the emotional core of Mukti. Every performance was treated like cinema, carefully directed and seamlessly integrated into the game.”

Instead of relying on motion capture or animated sequences, underDOGS shot each scene like a live-action film before incorporating it into the game. This decision, according to the team, ensures that the performances feel authentic and grounded—something players don’t often see in Indian-developed games.

Mukti will feature dual-language voice acting in English and Hindi, with additional subtitles to support international audiences.

Mukti is scheduled to launch in 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC. Players can already add the game to their PlayStation Store and Steam wishlists.
